Kimberley Russell-Bishop v. Ian Harewood

This Complaint has been brought by Kimberley Russell-Bishop of Maynard’s Road, St. Peter, as complainant against Ian Harewood as Respondent for refund of the amount of one thousand dollars ($1,000.00) being the amount paid to the respondent for the production of one photo-book album, two hundred and fifty (250) photographs and a small video with a clip of the most important part of the wedding. The Complainant’s claim for redress is made under sections 6, and 8, 29 and 31 of the Consumer Guarantees Act, Chapter 326 E of the Laws of Barbados.

This Complaint has been brought by Ms. Shelley-Ann Best as Complainant against the Respondent Standards Distribution & Sales (Barbados) Limited for redress under sections 9 of the Consumer Guarantees Act, Chapter 326E of the Laws of Barbados. Kumara Bellamy v. Fashion Conscious

By a complaint dated the 6th day of May 2016, Ms Kumara Bellamy of Tappin Land, Upper Rendezvous, Christ Church complained that on or about the 14th October 2014 she purchased a pair of AIR MAX 1990 Nike shoes colour black from the Respondents Roderick Hinds and Alison Hinds who carryon business as Fashion Conscious at a location at Upstairs #14 Swan Street, Bridgetown. The price paid was $260.00 and the shoes were to form part of her 12-year-old son’s school uniform.


Patricia Williams v. Avis Furniture Manufacturing Co. Ltd.

On December 3, 2008, the Complainant agreed with the Respondent for the construction at his workshop of, as they both termed it, a wardrobe (it was actually a frame to be placed over the existing configuration of the Complainant’s bedroom wall) and a mirror. This agreement was not reduced to writing but there was an agreed illustration of the proposed structure. It is also not in dispute that it would have been made of mahogany and that the price to be paid by the Complainant would be BDS $2,600, of which $1,000 was payable as a deposit, with the outstanding sums to be paid by her on the supply of the finished product by the Respondent.
